Following the analysis of the aesthetics of breasts, the researchers at INESC Porto have turned their attention to the pelvic region. The project is called BioPelvic and consists of a vaginometer which is not to be confused with any other mileage meter. This is a phallic device with sensors and yes ladies, there is a wireless version.

Russian Academy of Sciences visits INESC Porto

INESC Porto was host to a delegation from the Chernogolovka campus of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) with the aim of establishing a collaboration protocol between the two institutions. 

In addition to a presentation on the diverse activities conducted at INESC Porto, the delegation also visited the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM), the Power Systems Unit (USE), the Information and Computer Graphics Systems Unit (USIG) and the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit (UESP). A visit to the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Unit’s laboratories was also included in the itinerary with the showcasing of the underwater robot TriMARES and the robot NAO.

The delegation included Vladimir Borodin, a member of the Academic Governing Board and General Director of the pilot plant for scientific equipment, Parvaz Berzigiarov, Vice President of the Centre of Science, Valery Shevchenko, a representative in Vienna from the Centre of Innovation and two members of the Russian Embassy in Lisbon.
