Doing your manicure at INESC TEC
Once again, we have found something truly uncommon in INESC TEC’s purchase list. In the midst of the laptops and reams of paper purchased by CPES, BIP discovered one of those beautician lamps which, according to the box, can be used for nail design. In case you don’t know, nail design is not just about polishing nails. It’s an art that consists of replicating paintings like Picasso’s “Guernica” on the little toe of a lady who wears size 4 shoes.
Why on earth did INESC TEC purchase this nail gadget? Certainly the reader thinks that someone put their “claws” out to grab this item for themselves. But if you think nails have nothing to do with engineering, think again. There are universities all over the world offering PhDs to people who know the difference between gel nails, acrylic nails, silk nails, crystal nails, wrap nails, solar nails, porcelain nails, and press-on nails.
