UFRN prepares to join INESC P&D Brasil

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is now preparing to join the INESC Brazil Network, following a meeting, on 19 March, with the president of the university Ângela Maria Paiva Cruz, the secretary for international relations, Márcio Venício Barbosa, the President of INESC P&D Brasil, Vladimiro Miranda, and other professors at UFRN.

The goal of this meeting was to prepare the accession of the UFRN to the Network managed by INESC P&D Brasil. The operational structure of the meeting was presented, as well as ongoing and future educational projects. The next step to make this process official is sending the minute for legal and academic analysis.

It is important to remember that in 2010, Ivonildo do Rego, president of the UFRN at the time, travelled to Portugal to sign a declaration of intent to participate in R&D projects as part of the launching of INESC P&D Brasil. With this meeting with the president of INESC P&D Brasil, the current president of the UFRN wants to achieve this partnership, with the support of several professors from that Brazilian university who were already involved in various project proposals with INESC P&D Brasil.
