Office for Brazilian Affairs of INESC TEC organises visit of Brazilian Companies

INESC TEC welcomed, between the 11th and the 15th of September, Brazilian companies Alupar and TBE, which got to know the R&D&I ecosystem of INESC TEC and visited some companies using those technologies.

Within the scope of the work developed by the Office for Brazilian Affairs of INESC TEC, this delegation had the opportunity to get to know the premises of INESC TEC in Porto and in Vila Real and to attend institutional presentations of the clusters, demonstrations and meetings with partner companies.

Some of the themes discussed in this visit were asset inspection supported by robotics, asset sensing and intelligent remote monitoring, asset management and maintenance policies, information systems and decision support, virtual reality and human resources management, surveillance of unsupervised facilities, communication, and monitoring of biological signals in people under stressful work conditions.

Members of these companies visited several laboratories of INESC TEC, namely the Smart Grids and Electric Vehicles Laboratory, the Autonomous Robotics and Industrial Robotics Laboratories, the optical sensors laboratories and clean room, and the MASSIVE Laboratory.

Attendants from the ALUPAR Group were João Eduardo Greco Pinheiro (Technical Director), Carlos Graça (Implementation Director), Alberto Buttler (Engineering Superintendent), Alexandre Azevedo (New Business Analyst) and Pedro Martins Prado (Maintenance Engineer).

Attendants from the TBE Group were Paulo Augusto Nepomuceno Garcia (Technical Director), Eden Luiz Carvalho Junior (R&D Programme Manager), Alexandre Degan Favaro (Transmission Coordinator) and Aluizio Francisco Barros Junior (Telecommunication and Network Analyst).
