Explain your experience since leaving INESC TEC

After leaving INESC TEC, I couldn’t have imagined the direction that my professional life would take.

I moved to Dublin (Ireland) and I started to work at Oracle where I performed different duties in the sales, project management and operations areas. After four years in a multinational company, I decided to be part of Leveris, a startup in the Fintech area where I helped to launch a new digital banking platform, now in a context of product development management.

In 2016, I decided to face a new professional challenge in the Infogram located in Riga (Latvia). My job as Head of Marketing is to lead the international expansion, the growth and the monetisation of the company. Infogram is a startup that offers a web tool that allows to create graphics, maps and infographics in a simple and accessible way. In 2017, the company was purchased by Prezi (presentation software) and it continues its international growth path with more than four millions users all over the world.

Although my professional experiences have been considerably different from each other, the curiosity, the desire to constantly be learning and the courage to take a risk, allowed me to adapt, to grow as a person and to contribute to the success of the companies.

In your opinion how did your time at INESC TEC help you in your new role?

INESC TEC gave me the opportunity to work in several projects. I was surrounded by people with both great technical and human qualities.

I learned new work and research methods and I developed a more strict and assertive ability to analyse problems and I’ve been using it throughout my career.

The dedication, the critical spirit and the thoroughness that I found in INESC TEC are qualities that any employer appreciates and values in a competitive market.

In your opinion, how  has INESC TEC changed since you left?

I have been following INESC TEC remotely, through BIP and sporadic visits to remind me of past times. INESC TEC has so far been able to adapt itself to the needs of the several economic sectors and continues to carry out a quality research work with international recognition.

I hope INESC TEC continues its successful path and continues to promote new scientific and technological advances.
