Organising events has details that some people don’t even know about. When someone arrives to a conference or to a workshop, that person can’t imagine that there is an invisible machine that has worked for hours and that considered several details in order for everything to go smoothly on that day.

But with all the stress, unforeseen events and uncontrollable factors, there is also unusual facts, as you can imagine, that makes us laugh or that leaves us on the verge of a nervous meltdown.

In one of the most recent events of INESC TEC, we were almost finishing and waiting for the participants and speakers to leave in order to tidy up the room, when suddenly a good-looking participant appeared, almost acting as he had royal blood in his veins, asking for his badge.

- I’m sorry Sir, – said the colleague that spoke with him – but you want the badge at the end of the event? You are not going to need it anymore...

(efficiency was so great that the badges were already packed)

- I know that, but the fact is that I collect badges and I still don’t have this one...

What is the relevance of the theme, the quality of the panel of speakers, the effective dissemination, the nice place with easy access? Yeah right. What will immediately go to our list of concerns in the events is the precious, rare and very important badge!
