INESC TEC participates in international conference on intelligent robotics

Alfredo Martins and José Almeida, researchers of INESC TEC’s Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS), participated in IROS 2018, which took place between 1 and 5 October in Madrid, Spain.

With the theme “Towards a Robotic Society”, IROS 2018 - International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems is an international conference dedicated to researchers, companies and end users, focused on advanced technological innovations ( human-robot interaction, humanoids, social robots, autonomous systems, intelligent perception), as well as on social aspects (legal issues, regulations, robot ethics, human-robot coexistence, human-robot, employment).

INESC TEC’s representation was made through the presentation of three papers on robotics for the exploration of flooded mines, namely with the results of the UNEXMIN and iVamos! projects.

In addition to the conferences and workshops, the event had a robotic exhibition with more than 150 exhibitors.
