Proposal from UTM is one of the finalists of ICT 2008

The Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) from INESC Porto has submitted a proposal to ICT 2008 - Information and Communication Technologies 2008 for a "Networking Event". The proposal is entitled "User-centric Wireless Networks: Challenges and Opportunities".

This proposal in the area of “Internet Architectures and Networking” (IAN) has a cooperative access as central theme, and it is already in the final evaluation stage.

Organised by the Directorate General of the European Community, the biannual event ICT 2008 is one of the most relevant forums in the context of European research, gathering innovators and researchers, as well as legislators and leaders from all over Europe dedicated to topics related to digital technologies.

The event will take place in Lyon from 25 to 27 November 2008.
