Researcher issues new book on methodologies and strategies to support online learning
Ricardo Queirós, collaborator at the Centre for Research in Advanced Computing System (CRACS) of INESC TEC, issued a new book of IGI Global, entitled “Emerging Trends, Techniques, and Tools for Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Management”.
In the digital age, online courses have turned into recognized learning instruments, providing an interactive and collaborative method of education. In that sense, it is through the Internet that the user can develop new ideas and enhance knowledge, sharing experiences, information and practices. Therefore, MOOC, or massive and free online courses, are the new way of learning in all educational levels.
Before the difficulties and the challenges felt within MOOC, namely in what concerns design, implementation, management and development, this work covers several subjects, such as gaming in e-learning, programs that detect plagiarism and online language training. It is aimed at designers, IT professionals, software developers, academics and education professionals.
