INESC TEC, UMinho, INL and CEiiA collaborate with IBM on quantum computation
INESC TEC alongside the University of Minho, the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) and the Center for Excellence and Innovation in the Automobile Industry (CEiiA) signed a collaboration protocol in the field of quantum computation with IBM on 5 June.
The ceremony took place on the Rectory of the University of Porto and was attended by the representatives of the four institutions involved, namely José Manuel Mendonça, Rui Vieira de Castro and Nuno Peres, Lars Montelius, João Mateus and Noam Zakay.
It should be noted that this initiative is part of the activity of the Science, Technology and Quantum Materials Lab (QuantaLab) in terms of collaboration with IBM on quantum computation that intends to align the research conducted in Portugal on this research topic.
