INESC TEC participates in symposium about AUVs

Alfredo Martins, Aníbal Matos, Eduardo Silva and Nuno Cruz, collaborators of INESC TEC’s Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS) were part of the International Committee of the organisation of the AUV - Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Symposium, an event dedicated to technology and its corresponding applications in autonomous maritime vehicles.

In the event, two publications were also presented by Alfredo Martins and José Pedro Sousa about the developments in autonomous vehicles for exploring flooded mines (UNEXMIN project) and the navigation of surface vehicle for supporting the navigation of underwater vehicles.

AUV Symposium

Every two years, IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (IEEE OES) promotes an international symposium that aims to bring together professionals related to the area of autonomous underwater vehicles.

The event took place at the Rectory of the University of Porto between 6 and 9 November.
