- INESC TEC invites Senior Researchers to submit applications to work at INESC TEC. Following a review of your CV, the best applications will be selected and researchers will be able to develop fundamental or applied research and technology transfer at INESC Porto’s different R&D Units. Candidates should preferably have a PhD degree that was completed at least 3 years ago (justified exceptions are accepted) and they should demonstrate a high level of work ethics, confidence, the ability to work in teams and to face demanding challenges.
Call for a research grant to work in project "GEMS"
- INESC TEC is accepting applications for one or more scientific research grants in project "Gross Errors and Missing Signals - New concepts in Power System State Estimation", in the following area: Applied Mathematics/Power Systems Analysis/Computing. We are looking for candidates holding a Master Degree in Applied Mathematics or Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or other areas considered compatible and suitable by the selection jury. Candidates must be fluent in English (spoken and written), and must have knowledge of programming languages, such as C/C++. Call for a Research grant to work in project "STEERING"
- INESC TEC is accepting applications for a scientific research grant in project: Steering of light in nonlinear waveguides with resonant interactions. The grant holder will work in Nonlinear and quantum optics. We are looking for candidates holding a Masters in Physics or similar areas or a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Candidates must have solid knowledge of theoretical physics with emphasis on optics. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of nonlinear and quantum optics.

- INESC TEC is accepting applications for a scientific research grant to work in project: Collaborative and intelligent surveillance robot for the security market. The grant holder will develop activities in Wireless communications to support video surveillance activities performed by (autonomous) robots, controlled by a central platform. We are looking for candidates holding a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar areas. Candidates must be fluent in English (spoken and written), they must have solid knowledge of (wireless) communication technologies and protocols, network architectures and security mechanisms, good programming skills and experience with the Linux operating system. Preference will be given to candidates showing an innovative character.

- INESC TEC is accepting applications for a scientific research grant to work in project "Customer Oriented and eco-friendly networks for healthy fashionable goods", in the following area: Design and Development of Information Systems. We are looking for candidates holding a Masters in Software Engineering. As a minimum requirement, candidates must have: the ability to analyse business process modelling, solid knowledge in analysis and information system design (Able to identify, structure and specify functional and non-functional requirements, devise an technological solution architecture, a data module and database structure), skills in object oriented programming, skills in programming in JAVA, Liferay, Vaadin, Google Web Toolkit and Hibernate framework and skills in managing Java Application Servers and SQL database management systems. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in the development of collaborative planning applications for operations in Industrial sectors, knowledge in the development of decision support systems, knowledge of JAVA and Open Source technologies, those who are organised and capable of working in a team and those will fluent English (written and spoken).
