INESC TEC at the forefront of the energy revolution
INESC TEC was chosen by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory of the US Department of Energy to bring to Portugal for the first time the Symposium on microgrids, which took place on 3 and 4 September. Évora was the city chosen to host this international event which welcomed 125 experts from all over the world. This acknowledgement confirms that Portugal and INESC TEC are at the forefront of what is done best in the energy field.

INESC TEC signs protocol with the University of Minho
The University of Minho (UMinho) is officially part of INESC TEC – INESC Technology and Science, a leading associate laboratory which hosts 12 R&D units and 600 researchers. The complex in Minho is called HASLab – High Assurance Software Laboratory, in Braga, which was created in 2010. The protocol was signed as part of the 37th anniversary of the University of Minho’s School of Engineering.

Federal University of Campina Grande joins INESC Brazil network
The Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) is the newest member of INESC Brazil, a cooperation network managed by INESC P&D Brasil (INESC R&D Brazil). The UFCG specialises in electronics and computer engineering and is one of the most important higher education institutions in the north and northeast of Brazil. This University is known for its quality standards for education, research and academic-scientific production.
