INESC TEC showcases robots at European Researchers' Night
INESC TEC participated again in the European Researchers’ Night, which took place on 30 September at Pavilhão Rosa Mota, Porto.
The two robots, AGROB v14 and AGROB v16, which can be used in precision agriculture and forests, have been presented by Filipe Neves dos Santos, André Ferraz and Jorge Mendes, researchers at INESC TEC’s Centre for Robotics in Industry and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS). Over 7,500 people visited the European Researchers’ Night.
The initiative offered 55 activities promoted by researchers and specialised technicians, including workshops, hands-on experiences, debates, stories, and interactive proposals appealing to all senses, combining science and leisure.
Over 5 thousand students and teachers from 70 schools had the opportunity to get to learn about the science conducted by researchers in the north of Portugal. About 200 researchers and 100 volunteers from different areas of expertise participated in this event.
This event, promoted by the Horizon 2020 Programme (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions), celebrates and promotes science in several events occurring simultaneously in different European cities.
