INESC TEC renews associative bodies
In the General Council meeting of 8 June, the new associative bodies of INESC TEC were elected for the 2018-2020 period.
Following the General Council’s advice to the generational renewal in INESC TEC's leadership of the members of the Board with extensive terms at the institution, only José Manuel Mendonça renewed his term at the Board as President. He is accompanied by João Claro as President of the Executive Commission which was already composed by Luís Carneiro and which now also has the participation of Gabriel David.
Bernardo Almada Lobo and Rui Oliveira renew their terms as members of the Board and the Board also welcomes new members José Carlos Caldeira, who returns to the position he held before assuming the presidency of ANI, and Luís Seca and Manuel Ricardo, who until now were coordinators of CPES and CTM, respectively.
The new General Council Committee has as President the Rector of the University of Porto and as Secretaries the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and the President of INESC. The Fiscal Council maintains its composition.
Mário Jorge Leitão, Vladimiro Miranda and João Peças Lopes terminated their duties at the Board, in which they were integrated since 1998, 2001 e 2009, respectively. The outgoing members of the Board contributed significantly to the development of the prized institution which is now INESC TEC and the Board has already assigned them a new top-notch mission at the Institute.
