On 23 September, INESC TEC welcomed a delegation from Samsung R&D Institute Poland, one of Samsung’s research centres located in Poland. The goal is to promote synergies between the two institutions.

INESC TEC introduced the Samsung delegation to the Associate Laboratory’s expertise in multimedia technology, video processing, wearable technology, medical devices and medical imaging – an area that Samsung Poland R&D is interested in as the institute conducts research on advanced digital TV systems, platform convergence, mobile system, intelligent and business solutions.

Other than contacting with the managers of INESC TEC’s Telecommunications and Multimedia (UTM), the Information and Computer Graphics Systems Unit and (USIG), the Biomedical Research And INnovation Group (BRAIN), and with the leaders of the research areas mentioned above, the three members of the Polish institution, including the vice-president Sim Dae-Hyun, presented the strategic lines at Samsung R&D Institute Poland.
