INESC TEC looking after your health
On January 23, INESC TEC presented a total of 34 R&D projects, many developed in partnership with other institutions, in its first Health exhibition: the “Open Day INESC TEC Health 2014”. About two hundred visitors headed to INESC TEC to get to know first-hand the projects made in INESC TEC. Identifying partners interested in exploring the results of research projects, which in some cases requires prototypes and applications to be transformed into commercial products with potential for export, was the main goal of this initiative.

LIAAD/INESC TEC participates in European project on predictive learning
INESC TEC’s Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD) will participate in the European project MAESTRA (Learning from Massive, Incompletely annotated, and Structured Data), where the goal is to develop tools and methods for predictive learning tasks. The MAESTRA will start in February and the LIAAD team includes João Gama, João Mendes Moreira, Carlos Ferreira, Alexandre Carvalho, among others.

INESC TEC concludes project APSAT
The conclusion of European project APSAT, in which INESC TEC participated, was celebrated in November in Anglet - Pyrénées - Atlantiques, France, with the conference Nature and Technology “Space applications for the benefit of our regions”. INESC TEC was represented at the event by Lino Oliveira and Rui Barros, researchers at INESC TEC’s Information and Computer Graphics Systems Unit (USIG), who presented a live demo of the CleanMyCity application.
