Just because someone buys meat in a butcher's shop doesn't mean it is free of biogenic amines. And remember... when asking for minced meat make sure you watch them doing it!, Luís Coelho (CAP)

INESC TEC researchers elected for the School and Scientific Boards of EEUM

Luís Soares Barbosa, researcher of INESC TEC’s High-Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab) and Rui Carlos Oliveira, member of INESC TEC's board and also researcher of HASLab, were elected for the School and Scientific Boards of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho (EEUM), respectively. The inauguration ceremonies took place on 4 July at the School of Engineering at the Azurém Campus, in Guimarães.

The inauguration of the EEUM School Board was attended by the Rector of the University of Minho, Rui Vieira de Castro, who conferred power to the elected members in a public session. The inauguration of the EEUM Scientific Board took place in that same afternoon, with the presence of the Dean of the School of Engineering, João Luís Monteiro.

As a result of the election of the School Board, Luís Soares Barbosa integrates a group composed by professors and researchers, and also students and non-teaching staff. It should be noted that this collegial body is responsible for the governance and strategic decision of the School.

Rui Carlos Oliveira, who was elected member of the Scientific Board, integrates a group composed by professors and researchers, alongside other teaching staff and doctoral researchers. This collegial body should ensure the definition and application of quality criteria of the academic activities and define the scientific policy of the School.

It should be noted that both terms concern the 2019-2022 period.
