INESC Porto Spin-off receives award for best SME 2010

MOG Technologies, the spinoff company of INESC Porto recently received the award for the best Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) for 2010 in Portugal. They were also selected, out of 300,000 SMEs, for the SME Excellence award from the Institute for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Innovation (IAPMEI). This distinction was presented to 1,100 SMEs with the best economic and management performance in 2010 in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Development, José Vieira da Silva.   

These are companies that have shown quality in diverse areas, demonstrating high standards of competitiveness, solid financial roots, a return above the national average and that have actively contributed to the areas of development and employment in various regions.     

The SME Excellence Statute was created by IAPMEI to identify and reward SMEs that undertake successful activities and initiatives that showcase excellent results for innovation and internationalisation and are an inspiration for other companies nationwide.
