INESC TEC provides advanced training services to Brazilian company

The Brazilian company Tractebel Energia (of the GDF Suez group) has requested INESC TEC’s Power Systems Unit to provide advanced training services on Microgeneration and Microgrids. This traning activity took place between 10 and 13 de July.

With a total of eight hours, this advanced training included an introduction to the topic of Microgeneration and Microgrids, as well as other themes such as microgeneration and microgrids modelling systems, operation and control in emergency situations and integration of microgrids in the distribution network’s operation.

This training was delivered by videoconference and the trainers were João Peças Lopes (a Director at INESC Porto, the entity coordinating INESC TEC), Manuel Matos (manager at USE), Carlos Moreira and Diego Issicaba (researchers at USE).
