LIAAD participates in international workshop on Data Mining

The Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD) is involved in the organisation of the 3rd International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery from Sensor Data, which will take place in Paris on 28 June 2009, in the context of the ACM-SIGKDD 2009 – Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, the most important annual conference on Data Mining.

The workshop will focus on three interconnected global themes: climate change, energy guarantees and infrastructural impacts.

LIAAD will be represented in this conference by two of its researchers: João Gama (also professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP)), who is part of the event’s presidency; and Pedro Rodrigues, member of the programme committee.
