  • INESC TEC invites Senior Researchers to submit applications to work at INESC TEC. After a review of the CVs, the best applications will be selected and researchers will be able to develop fundamental or applied research and technology transfer at INESC Porto’s different R&D Units. Preferably, candidates should have held a PhD degree for more than 3 years (justified exceptions are accepted) and should demonstrate a high level of work ethics, confidence, the ability to work in teams and to face demanding challenges.

  • INESC PORTO is accepting applications to award two scientific research grants to work in the project "Model to manufacture customized footwear", in the following area: Design and Development of Information System. We are looking for candidates holding an MSc in Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or other courses in software engineering. Candidates must have: 1. Solid knowledge of the analysis and design of Information Systems; 2. Solid knowledge of object oriented programming; 3. Programming experience in Java, C + + and 4. Knowledge of system integration. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of J2EE Technology, knowledge of middleware solutions, teamwork skills, and finally, a high level of written and spoken English.

We are looking for candidates holding a MSc in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operational Research, or similar.   • INESC PORTO is accepting applications to award a scientific research grant to work in the project "Model to manufacture customised footwear", in the following area: Design and Development of algorithms and models for production management problems, including plant layouts and balancing production lines. We are looking for candidates holding an MSc or Degree in Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics, with professional experience in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates that are attending a PhD Program in Industrial Engineering or similar, and those that are available to develop research work at PhD level.   • INESC PORTO is accepting applications to award a scientific research grant to work in the project "New models for enhancing the kidney transplantation process", in the following area: Informatics > Computer Graphics > Serious games > Physics simulation games Operations Research > Metaheuristics > Hybrid optimisation-simulation methods. Candidates should have an MSc degree in Computer Science or Informatics, or in another branch of Engineering or Applied Mathematics, but with advanced programming skills.
