INESC TEC Best-seller translated into Mandarin
After another consecutive year as the bestselling book on Data Mining on Amazon, the book, Data Mining with R, learning with case studies, by the researcher Luís Torgo from the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD) is going to be translated into Mandarin.
This announcement was made following the signing of an agreement between the editor Taylor & Francis and an important Chinese editor. The version in Mandarin should be available at the end of 2012.
The book addresses Data Mining using R and became a success after just one week of being launched. It presents a free open source tool that has received growing attention not only from academics but from industry as well. This has led to a growing number of employers asking for experience in R and the appearance of companies based on R, such as Revolution Analytics, created by the founders of software statistics SPSS.
