INESC TEC researcher co-edits scientific book

Aurélio Campilho, manager of the Centre for Research in Biomedical Engineering (C-BER), is co-editor of the book Image Analysis and Modeling in Ophthalmology, published by CRC Press in February 2014.

The book addresses the most recent developments in the use of image analysis in Ophthalmology, providing an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches. Among others, the book promotes multimodal technologies for image processing in images of eyes. The book also contains a chapter called “Segmentation of the Vascular Network of the Retina,” authored by Ana Maria Mendonça and Aurélio Campilho (C-BER) and Behdad Dashtbozorg.
