Raul Vidal is Personality of the Year in Software Engineering

The Director of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and member of SAPE (Industry Partnership Service) at INESC TEC, Raul Vidal, received the 2015 award for Personality of the Year in  Software Engineering.

Raul Vidal received the award on 29 June as part of the International Conference “Trends 2015 – Quality in Software Development and Services”, which took place at the facilities of PT Inovação & Sistemas, in Aveiro, Portugal. The event was organised  by Inova-Ria (Aveiro Innovation Network).

Raul Vidal received this award for his commitment and leadership skills in matters that are extremely relevant to the field of Information and communication technology and electronics, and to the national economy.

The panel of judges was composed of Marlos Silva (Executive Manager at Inova-Ria), Vasco Lagarto (President of the Executive Committee at TICE.pt), Pedro Castro Henriques (CEO at Strongstep), Tiago Fernandes (Managing Partner at Bitmaker Software) and Diogo Cunha (Consultant at Portic).
