INESC TEC presents technologies for the Sea at Blue Business Forum

At this fair, INESC TEC demonstrated various devices which can be used in the Sea, dimension and depth wise: a wireless prototype to transfer energy in a hyperbaric chamber, and temperature measurement sensors for aquaculture.

In a bidirectional exhibition, focusing on technology (INESC TEC) and biology (CIIMAR), the institutions support the goal, addressed by the Minister of Agriculture and the Sea, Assunção Cristas, of promoting the expansion of the country’s exclusive economic zone, demonstrating that with its R&D it will be possible to explore the vastness and depth of the sea.

At the event, INESC TEC and CIIMAR also highlighted the project STAMAR (Academia to Business session and best available technologies presentation on Information and Communication Technologies applied to the Sea), with INESC TEC, the University of Porto and the University of Algarve as promoters.

The Blue Business Forum is a large international meeting  in the area of the Economy of the Sea, where companies from different countries showcase their products and solutions, participate in B2B meetings, and discuss the greatest themes regarding the Sea in different conferences, workshops and seminars.

Organised by the Fundação AIP, the event welcomed academic institutions and young companies, providing an opportunity to promote synergies and contacts.
