Where are you now?
Every month INESC TEC sends highly qualified individuals into the market. These individuals often then go on to occupy important positions in some of the best national and international companies or they opt to form spin-offs. As the best way to perform technology transfer is through individuals, this section is dedicated to collaborators that trained at INESC TEC and now star in other companies and institutions.

Explain your experience since leaving INESC TEC
When I left INESC TEC in 2015, I started working on LTPlabs, a management consultancy company and an INESC TEC's spin-off. LTP was created by three professors from FEUP - Bernardo Almada-Lobo, Pedro Amorim and Luís Guimarães.
As I mentioned before, LTPlabs is a management consultancy company and it solves complex decision making problems, considering the processes and existing information whether it’s public or internal to the enterprise. With this, it’s possible to make decisions with absolute confidence that we are following the right path.
These last three years at LTPlabs were quite challenging because I am following the emergence of a company from its creation to where it’s now and to where it’ll be in the future, which is looking very promising.
I started as a business analyst and today I’m a senior consultant. In my opinion, this professional and personal growth in conjunction with the company is one of the most rewarding things of working at LTP. The existing environment is another thing that I most enjoy about the company, because everyone gets along and there is a policy of “my door is always open” which means it's possible to talk to anyone about anything.
LTP is very similar to INESC TEC regarding the research aspect, because being a spin off, it never discarded this scientific curiosity. For example, in every project that is conducted at LTP, the state-of-the-art is consulted and used as a reference in order to ensure that we are doing the best for that project. This scientific curiosity of always doing the best that is possible and of never doing the same thing in the same way, that is, to always adapt the solution to the needs of the project.
In your opinion how did your time at INESC TEC help you in your new role?
Scientific curiosity, that is, researching the state-of-the-art, learn what other people are doing whenever I am facing a challenge.
To develop a critical and a non-conformed spirit for how things that are being done right now.
In your opinion, how has INESC TEC changed since you left?
It is with great pleasure that I see that INESC TEC is still growing as a reference centre in the research and is still investing in modernisation.
