AzoresTek with the collaboration of INESC TEC

José Manuel Mendonça, Chairman of INESC TEC's Board, was one of the speakers of AZORESTEK, an event dedicated to technology, innovation and entrepreneurship that was held in the city of Lagoa, São Miguel island in Azores, between 16 and 17 November.

In the intervention entitled “Megatendências, Desafios do Futuro e Respostas da Ciência e Tecnologia” (in English “Megatrends, Challenges of the Future and Science and Technology Answers”), José Manuel Mendonça had the opportunity to present INESC TEC and its scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, advanced consultancy and preincubation of technology based-companies.

In this first edition of the event under the theme “Fronteiras da Inovação” (in English “Frontiers of Innovation), which was promoted by Associação Nonagon, themes like Circular Economy, Good Innovation Practices and Creative and Cultural Industries were discussed. Besides participating in the different sessions of the event, the participants could also visit a business exhibition area where approximately 50 institutions were represented.

AZORESTEK is targeting companies, entrepreneurs, researchers and technological institutions and is aimed at adding value and promoting projects, giving new business opportunities in the technology and innovation areas.
