INESC TEC in second place of Grow Innovation Award
HealthySystems, a startup that focuses on IT security, auditing, consultancy and data protection, won the second place of Grow Innovation Award 2018, which was promoted by the José de Mello Group, receiving a EUR 6000 award in the process. Luís Antunes and Manuel Eduardo Correia, researchers of INESC TEC's Centre for Research in Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS) alongside Ricardo Correia (from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto) are the promoters of this company.
The winners were announced at the ceremony that was held on 29 November. After a series of presentations conducted by the seven finalist companies, the jury decided to award the first place to Stratio and the second place to HealthySystems. On the one hand, these two companies stood out for their intrinsic potential and, on the other hand, for the results of the pilots that were developed for the respective subsidiaries companies of the Group.
The Grow Innovation Award is an annual initiative, which is promoted by the Amélia de Mello Foundation, that intends to contribute to the strengthening and development of entrepreneurship.
Grow, which was launched in February 2017, is a programme that intersects all subsidiary entities of the José de Mello Group and aims at strengthening the connection with the startups ecosystems, supporting and speeding up the development of innovative projects.
