Ambassador of Czech Republic visits Virtual Reality Laboratory
In 8 April, a delegation from Czech Republic visited the MASSIVE Laboratory of INESC TEC, during their visit to the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), in Vila Real.
The delegation was composed of the Ambassador of Czech Republic to Portugal, President, Vice President and other members of the Southern Moravia Regional Council, members of the Agência Regional do Desenvolvimento and also of the Honorary Consul of Czech Republic in Porto.
In 2017, INESC TEC unveiled the MASSIVE Virtual Reality Laboratory, which is the most advanced laboratory of the Iberian Peninsula in this area. It is an infrastructure that is characterised by studying the stimulation of the five senses in Virtual Reality applications, not only related to the fundamental research, but also considering the transfer of knowledge to the industry in order to promote their economic competitiveness.
