First phase of results of the DIVA project funds 66 SMEs

The first phase of results of the DIVA project came to an end with the selection of 66 applications, selected from a total of 147 proposals.

More than 200 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) have applied to this first Call for Solutions, gathering proposals from all the countries involved in this initiative: France (49), Greece (11), Ireland (7), Italy (15), Portugal (26) and Spain (39). In the last two months, the consortium of the project analysed all the proposals in order to select the best projects for activities of maturation (€10.000), demonstration (up to €60.000) or internationalisation (€30.000).

The selection determined the support for 44 maturation projects, 10 small-scaled demonstration projects, 9 large-scaled demonstration projects and 3 internationalisation projects.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the partners of DIVA will be responsible for the monitoring of these projects and for the support to SMEs, aiming to ensure the maximum efficiency in the implementation and the success in the execution of foreseen results.

The European project DIVA aims at giving SMEs the opportunity to present technological solutions in the Agrofood, Forestry and Environment areas. The participation of INESC TEC is ensured by the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE) and Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS). This project, which was promoted under the Framework Programme H2020, provides a total of EUR 3 million that are divided in two phases of competition.

The second Call for solutions for the remaining available amount will be open until the end of 2019.
