INESC TEC with nine European projects approved as part of the H2020 Programme
INESC TEC had nine projects approved as part of the Horizon 2020 – the Framework-Programme for Research & Innovation in the European Union. Four of those project proposals have been submitted by the Centre for Power and Energy Systems (CPES), two by the Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE) and the Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia (CTM), and one by the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CROB).
Of all projects approved, three are Research & Innovation actions (one within the Information and Communications Technologies programme, one in European Space programme, and one in Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials); four are Innovation actions (under the Low Carbon Energy programme), and two others are support actions (within the Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Production programme).
Horizon 2020 has a total of 77 billion euros for seven years and it is the European Community’s largest instrument designed specifically to support research, by co-funding research, innovation and demonstration projects. The H2020 is currently one of the priorities for funding at INESC TEC.
