INESC TEC researcher edits new publication in Mathematical Economics

The scientific publisher Springer Verlag has just released the publication Trends in Mathematical Economics – Dialogues Between Southern Europe and Latin America, edited by Alberto Adrego Pinto, INESC TEC researcher, together with professors Elvio Accinelli Gamba, UALSP (Mexico), Athanasios N. Yannacopoulos, AUEB (Athens, Greece), and Carlos Hervés-Beloso, University of Vigo (Spain).

This edition features a selected number of papers that were presented at international conferences held in 2014, such as The 3rd International Conference on Dynamics Games and Science - DGS III, at the University of Porto, The 1st Hellenic-Portuguese Meeting on Mathematical Economics, at AUEB, and the XV Latin American Conference on Economic Theory (JOLATE) in Guanajuato, Mexico.

With this edition, the LIAAD researcher and his fellow editors launch a new series of publications featuring the most recent research trends in Mathematical Economics, Theory of Games and applications. The second edition is already in being prepared and is scheduled for publication in 2017.

Researcher at INESC TEC's Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD), Alberto Adrego Pinto is a Mathematics Professor at the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (FCUP) and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Dynamics and Games, published by the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences, which features papers on applied mathematics, namely Dynamic Systems and Game Theory.

In 2016, he became president of the General Assembly of the International Centre for Mathematics (CIM), whose objective is to promote and develop Mathematics research in Portugal.

The INESC TEC researcher mentioned in this news piece is associated with UP-FCUP.
