History of the relationship between the company and INESC TEC
The partnership between Silos de Leixões and INESC TEC began at Fórum Oceano through our CEO. We issued the challenge to INESC TEC to reorganise our price table through the development of a support system related to price negotiation.

Statement about the project
Besides this project and in partnership with CESE it was also developed a project to find opportunities for improvement in our company industrial operations.
Silos de Leixões operates in a traditional market and within the context of Public Service Concession with a price cap.
National and international traders own the products that are moved and stored in our facilities, they are aimed to food industry (bakery and pasta products) and animal feed industry (animal feed raw materials).
If, on the one hand, there are clients interested in price sensitivity, because there are emergency goods, on the other, some clients ask for the development of structure price tables with a new design.
The invitation made to INESC TEC intended to develop a tool which meets the clients’ needs and ensures income, a different design and fulfilment of the presumed maximum fees in the concession contract.
It must be said that it was remarkable the ability of theorizing and modelling the problem and developing a new tool extremely easy to use.
Currently, we still maintain the partnership with the same team from INESC TEC with a new project.
