This section gives voice to the companies and organisations that have INESC TEC as their partner in projects and activities.

carlos sampaio, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER at ELERGONE ENERGIA, LDA.

  • "We recognised the professionalism and dedication that this entity pledges on the partnership that we developed and the entire relationship has been quite positive and productive."

History of the relationship between the company and INESC TEC

From the start, Elergone recognises the competitive importance that innovative projects can bring to its market positioning. Not only recognises this, but it has also been developing several indoor research projects for the continuous improvement of its services and processes.

In 2017, there was the need to progress further towards a more ambitious stage and in INESC TEC we found the partner that could represent a strong asset for the implementation of both the project itself and the strategic development of the company.

The challenge was issued to INESC TEC, which was well received and properly addressed, and it became the first joint project launched in 2018. Its due date is expected to be on April of 2019 and we are expecting quite valuable results. In parallel, future projects were already defined, thus reinforcing our expectation of this partnership being a key aspect for the progression of our company in the market in which it operates.

Statement about the Project

The first project, which started on April of 2018 and was entitled “Previsão de Consumo de Energia Elétrica e Produção Fotovoltaica” (in English “Electrical Energy Consumption Prediction and PV Production”), aims to improve the prediction of the consumption of our customer portfolio, as well as the production of the photovoltaic plants that we manage.

A second project was recently approved under an application to the Horizon 2020 programme, entitled Interconnect. It aims at democratising the efficient management of energy on consumers.

Currently, the project is still ongoing but in the intermediate assessments of its development, we saw that the provisional results were above the expectations, so the potential contribution to our activity is meritoriously recognised in terms of buying better and, consequently, offering a more competitive service to customers.

We recognised the professionalism and dedication that this entity pledges on the partnership that we developed and the entire relationship has been quite positive and productive.

There are only positive and measurable reasons for our collaboration with INESC TEC to be continued and reinforced, so we believe that INESC TEC will be a partner for a long-lasting relationship.
