Associate Director of INESC TEC in a lecture on science and technology management

Vladimiro Miranda, Associate Director of INESC TEC and Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), was responsible for the lecture entitled “Novos Paradigmas na Gestão de Ciência e Tecnologia” (“New Paradigms in the Science and Technology Management” in English), which was held on the São Carlos hub of the University of São Paulo (USP) on 22 March.

This activity, which was promoted by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC), was the public ceremony of a work agenda that included meetings to debate cooperation and joint projects with the EESC’s Board, as well as with the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC) of USP.

USP (São Carlos) is one of the members of INESC P&D Brasil’s network. EESC has been an active part in the research and development cooperation network, which is organised by INESC P&D Brasil, and features INESC TEC as an important partner. In the meantime, ICMC has several ongoing collaboration manifestations with several INESC TEC’s researchers and it also intends to get closer to INESC P&D Brasil.

Vladimiro Miranda has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from FEUP and is currently President of INESC P&D Brasil.

The researcher mentioned in this news piece is associated with UP-FEUP.
