Ambassador of the Republic of China visits Virtual Reality Laboratory

In 22 March, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Portugal visited the MASSIVE Laboratory of INESC TEC, during its visit to the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), in Vila Real.

In 2017, INESC TEC opened the MASSIVE Virtual Reality Laboratory, which is the most advanced laboratory of the Iberian Peninsula in this area. It is an infrastructure that is characterised by studying the stimulation of the five senses in Virtual Reality applications, not only related to the fundamental research, but also related to an application level.

Cai Run was welcomed by the rector and by members of the rectory, and besides the visit to the laboratory, the meeting agenda included work meetings with a group of students of Chinese nationality from UTAD.
