INESC Porto with a project approval rate higher than European average
Ever since the beginning of the EU Framework Programme in 2007, INESC Porto has participated in over 40 applications, which resulted in 13 approved projects, with INESC Porto being the scientific coordinator of one of them.
This fact alone represents a project approval rate of over 30%, a figure that is significantly higher than the average approval rate in Portugal and in the rest of the European Union.
The projects are distributed through INESC Porto’s Units as follows: five for the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit (UESP) - FIT4U (7th FP), H-KNOW (7th FP), MANUCONF (7th FP), VFF (7th FP) and NETCHALENGE (7th FP); four for the Information and Communication Systems Unit (USIC) - ADD ME (CIP), CEMSDI (CIP), CAALYX-MV (CIP), ICT4Depression (7th FP); two for the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) - ACEOLE (7th FP) and ALICANTE (7th FP). Finally, both the Optoelectronics and Electronic Systems Unit (UOSE) and the Power Systems Unit (USE) are involved in one project each - DAPHNE (7th FP) and MERGE (7th FP), respectively.
The project that INESC Porto is coordinating is UESP’s NETCHALENGE that inludes 13 other partners.
