INESC in the city of Porto celebrates 25th Anniversary
This year, INESC will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary of existence in the city of Porto. And we celebrate this "silver anniversary" in an environment of optimism and innovation for the next quarter century. The opening of INESC Porto – Associated Laboratory to new Groups (and the consequent improvement of competences and scientific production), the project for a new building and the constitution of the new “INESC P&D Brasil” (INESC R&D Brazil), together the historic record budget of more than 10 million Euros for 2010, are some of the most recent landmarks that fill us with pride, not only for our past, but also for our hope in the future.
2010 is the time to celebrate and to value everything that has been done since 1985. It is time to remember the memories of the eldest, as well as the small and great victories that we have reached throughout time. For that, INESC Porto is planning several internal and external initiatives, such as a theme conference and/or lectures, a meeting of former collaborators, an art exhibition and an internal celebration. Furthermore, the corporate image of the 25th Anniversary will be applied in several communication supports, such as a brochure with the most relevant results achieved during the last 25 years or a canvas that will be applied in the façade of INESC Porto’s building, and others that will be announced shortly.
