New book on advanced Android programming

Ricardo Queirós, full member at INESC TEC’s Centre for Research in Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS), has published a new book on advanced programming for mobile devices. 

The new book entitled “Android Profissional - Desenvolvimento Moderno de Aplicações (in English: “Professional Android - Apps’ Modern Development”) focus the native app modern development to Android devices, ranging from apps with real-time databases to sensors’ data manipulation. The book is divided into five independent chapters: Android Platform; Graphical Interface; Cloud Data Management; Networking and Sensors. A complete, simple and insightful example is included at the end of each chapter, with practical activities so that the reader could master this subject and study more advanced projects.

The eight book of the researcher, which was published by FCA- Editora de Informática, is aimed at mobile programming specialists, mobile computing professors and students and everyone interested in mobile program.

Ricardo Queirós has a PhD in Computer Science from Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. He also teaches at the School of Media Arts and Design of P.Porto, where he is responsible for subjects such as Web, Mobileand Games Development. Besides, he conducts research in interoperability on e-learning systems. Ricardo also wrote «Criação Rápida de Sites Responsivos com o Bootstrap (in English: «Quick Responsive Web Design using Boostrap») and co-wrote «Introdução ao Desenvolvimento de Jogos em Android». (in English: «Introduction to the Android Game Development»).
