INESC TEC organises training course for the staff of REN

The Centre for Power and Energy Systems (CPES) with the support of the Centre for Industrial Engineering and Management (CEGI) organised an advanced training course on 27, 28 and 29 June and 2, 3 and 4 July for 15 staff of REN, both from Porto and Lisbon.

During the training course, which took place at the INESC TEC’s headquarters, more than 20 instructors of the institute participated in this initiative.

The training course was divided in six modules: distributed production and its impact in the transmission networks; demand management; stochastic methods in the network planning; HVDC versus HVAC; assets management and time series forecasting for the electricity sector.

João Peças Lopes, Associate Diretor of INESC TEC, Ricardo Bessa, Assistant Coordinator of CPES, André Madureira, Bernardo Silva, Carla Gonçalves, Carlos Moreira, Clara Gouveia, David Rua, Helena Vasconcelos, J. Tomé Saraiva, José Iria, Jorge Filipe, Laura Cavalcante, Leonel Carvalho, Nilufar Neyestani, Nuno Fidalgo, Nuno Fonseca and Ricardo Ferreira from CPES, and Armando Leitão, Eduardo Gil and Luís Guimarães from CEGI were the instructors of this training course.
