European project SafeCloud achieves positive evaluation in the first year
The European project SafeCloud has received positively feedback in its first year of activity as a result of the European Commission's evaluation, which took place in November in Brussels. Led by INESC TEC, represented in this project by HASLab – High Assurance Software Laboratory, one of 13 integrated R&D centers, this project features about 30 researchers, in a consortium of seven European partners.
With 3M€ funding, the impact this project has on society and the different communities was also one of the aspects highlighted by the European Commission, and this goal should be maintained for the next two years of the project.
SafeCloud - Secure and Resilient Cloud Architecture is a project whose goal is to make data in the cloud inviolable, making the current services and cloud computing infrastructures secure. In addition to the previously described objective, the SafeCloud also aims to reassure millions of users of cloud storage services that their data are not being handled by third parties. In addition, the project wants to further protect user information and ensure that data are being processed securely and privately.
