INESC TEC consolidates new image in 2014
n 2011, the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has officially accepted the change of the name of the Associate Laboratory from INESC Porto to INESC TEC. After a transitional stage (between 2011 and 2013), where the new brand coexisted with the old, 2014 starts a new stage where the INESC TEC brand stands alone.
Thus, the rebranding plan devised by INESC TEC’s Communication Service (SCOM) should be progressively implemented until the end of the year, in the various communication components and materials. For example, in terms of external image, the INESC Porto website domain has become INESC TEC and the website no longer differentiates core and associate units. INESC TEC’s general e-mail address is now info@inesctec.pt, and the e-mails of the collaborators now end in “@inesctec.pt” instead of “@inescporto.pt.” The institutional information has also been reformulated, not only in electronic supports, but also in physical material, such as flyers.
All these actions, whose goal is to consolidate INESC TEC as a Unit of the Portuguese Science and Technology System, should be concluded by the end of this year.
