Organisational Innovation and human resources management
Times of crisis call for the creativity of people and organisations. Diversification of products and markets are mottos for innovative organisations.
Flexible human resources, with career management that is adaptable to the market’s demands are an extremely valuable asset for any organisation. The Optoelectronics Unit is always paying attention to EBITDA, to the North Sea oil exchange rates, to the variations on Earth’s magnetic field and the results of Jesualdo Ferreira’s football team, and that made a difference once again. As a result, here is the autumn-winter collection 2008-2009 for clean rooms.
Here are some of the virtues of this new collection: the purity of monochromy influenced by the Siza Vieira School (any colour is beautiful, as long as it is white); the Spartan cut of 100% polyester antistatic pieces (so that they are protected from moth), that are flame and chemical resistant (human heat burns as well), with dissipation in less than one tenth of a second for voltages between 500 and 5.000 Volts (for electric researchers). These pieces were designed for rooms class 1 to 100, with a 99,9999% filter efficiency or more for 0,12 micrometre particles. As far as footwear is concerned, the collection includes disposable loafers inspired by the Venetian gondola, available in one size only. And thus the most demanding outfit is complete.
But appearance is everything. And if it weren’t for our most versatile human resources, the product wouldn’t sell.
Together with INESC Porto’s Department of Information and Logistics (DIL), UOSE organised a fashion show and even though our portfolio still is reduced, it is quite promising… satisfaction and joy are contagious.
Under the organisation of a highly acknowledged modelling school, a casting is currently being prepared for new aspiring models, as well as a training course financed by QREN, which will start on the 5th quarter of 2008.
