USIC collaborates with Associação de Turismo de Lisboa
The Information and Communication Systems (USIC) is currently cooperating with the Associação de Turismo de Lisboa – ATL (Lisbon Association for Tourism) for the implementation of a Collaborative Platform.
ATL has more than 500 associates and the Board is set up by 17 members and, therefore, the articulation of schedules is hard. In that sense, this Collaborative Platform will give an outstanding contribution by facilitating the Association’s activities, allowing a larger interaction between the associates, and reducing the number of meetings. The information will circulate instantly and it will be available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The ATL’s Electronic Collaborative Platform will include the following areas: Associates, Board of Directors, General Assembly, Supervisory Board, Executive Board, Observatory and Events.
The Collaborative Platform to be implemented supports several generic services, namely the creation of contents and interactive discussion (comments/answers by content); information search, messages, group and mailing lists for users via email. Other than that, it will be possible to manage meetings and events, search for members and manage information of the Associates’ sheets. Lastly, the platform will also support Workflows associated to items, such as files and pages that will manage documents that will be afterwards assessed and disseminated.
INESC Porto’s technical team is led by Paulo Melo of the Information and Communication Systems Unit (USIC), with the support of the Management Information Service (SIG).
