APPLICATION FOR THE Priority Axis “Competitiveness, Innovation and Knowledge”, THE Northern Portugal’s Operational Programme 2007-2013 - JULY

This month’s nomination for the Limelight was a result of INESC TEC’s (Associate Laboratory coordinated by INESC Porto) application for the Priority Axis “Competitiveness, Innovation and Knowledge”, as part of Northern Portugal’s Operational Programme 2007-2013.

A central group with individuals from the Power Systems Unit (USE) and the Department of Information and Logistics – Management Control (DIL-CG) prepared this application.

This team of individuals demonstrated fantastic dedication, selfless commitment, mutual help and sacrifice that must be noted on this special occasion although under other circumstances other INESC Porto collaborators have also demonstrated this spirit.

PEDRO BARBEIRO - SEPTEMBER

Pedro Barbeiro is involved in the projects on the Integration of Renewable Energy sources in Cape Verde, the European project MERGE and project REIVE. His role involves defining an investment plan for the islands and analysing the impact of electric vehicles on transport networks and the electricity grid. The work developed was of outstanding quality and his ability to simultaneously work on these projects was exceptional even when it included staying late many evenings to meet deadlines. His attitude and the results produced should be acknowledged.
