Call for a research grant in project FLUOROCT"
INESC PORTO is accepting applications for a scientific research grant to work in the project "Dose distribution mapping and Monte Carlo simulations in CT-fluoroscopy", in the following work area: Monte Carlo methods in radiation transport, Dosimetry, Medical Physics and Radiation Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Medical Physics, or in related fields. Candidates must have solid knowledge of Radiation Physics and numerical modeling. Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in Monte Carlo methods in radiation transport and have knowledge and practical experience in MCNPx and/or GEANT codes.

Call for a Post-Doc grant in project "MuMoMgt"
INESC PORTO is accepting applications for a Post-Doc Grant to work in project "Multicast and mobility management in heterogeneous access networks", in the following area: Wireless networks (multicast and mobility). We are looking for candidates holding a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics Engineering or a similar area. As a minimum requirement candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Computer Networks and in particular IP networks. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of mobile communications, wireless access networks, multicast and protocol design.

INESC PORTO is accepting applications for a scientific research grant to work in project "Living Usability Lab for Next Generation Networks", in the following area: the development of algorithms for the automatic detection and tracking of people. We are looking for candidates holding a Master’s degree in Electric Engineering or a similar area. Candidates must be fluent in English (spoken and written), they must have good knowledge of image and video processing and good programming skills (C and C++). Preference will be given to innovative candidates.

INESC PORTO is accepting applications for a scientific research grant to work in project "Intelligent Distribution Systems supported in Monitoring and Dynamic Decision", in the following area: Power Systems. We are looking for candidates holding a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or power systems. Candidates must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and must have knowledge of control definition and optimised decision-making management strategies for electrical distribution networks with distributed resources. Candidates must also have knowledge of evaluating the reliability of distribution grids. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using simulation tools in the MatLab environment, simulation tools for steady state grid operating conditions and advanced optimisation tools and techniques.
