MammoClass helps diagnose Breast Cancer
Researchers from the Center for Research in Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS) from the Associate Laboratory, INESC TEC, have built MammoClass, a tool that is able to estimate the malignancy of lumps in mammograms using BIRADS (Breast Imaging and Report Data System).
The tool is available online and can be used by doctors and radiologists to help in their diagnosis.
The research was conducted in conjunction with Elizabeth Burnside and Ryan Woods from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).
