Second edition of the Strategic Meeting discusses INESC TEC’s structure

In order to reflect and discuss structural issues for INESC TEC’s future, the second edition of the Strategic Meeting took place on 14 September at the Axis Vermar Hotel in Póvoa de Varzim.

The event was organised in two different parts. In the first, which took place during the morning, the work groups debated the TEC4 intervention platforms, namely: TEC4Sea, TEC4Media, TEC4Agro-Food, TEC4Energy, TEC4Health, TEC4Industry and TEC4All.

The second, which took place during the afternoon and in which participated 220 fellow INESC TEC colleagues, consisted of presentations and debates based on the considerations arising from the morning’s work, among other contributions. Joaquim Borges Gouveia, former director and one of the founding members of INESC Norte, presently known as INESC TEC, was the moderator. This debate was preceded by the keynote speech of Elena Schaeidt, Corporate Development & Communication Director of TECNALIA, entitled “TECNALIA: A merger to increase impact generation”.

The event closed with the intervention of José Manuel Mendonça, President of INESC TEC’s Board, who presented the results of the latest edition of the Strategic Meeting and the measures implemented over this year.

At the end, there was also a leisure and networking moment with a concert led by the INESC TEC Jazz Band, followed by a cocktail party.
