Have your say

"(...) all, without exception, say that this was an incredibly positive step. The group is also growing in numbers and will soon have a dimension that we would have hardly imagined if it were not for INESC Porto.", António Paulo Moreira

Free Nonsense

"In this Unit, we can always hear, simultaneously, conversations in a pretty strange dialect that sounds like Russian! Expressions like “Dobro jutro” and “Kako si” are regularly heard", Bernardo Silva

Ricardo Rei – April

Ricardo Rei

"Over the past few months, Ricardo Rei did some intensive quality work with the development of intelligent bidirectional invertors that make it possible to connect electrical vehicle batteries to the grid for different modes of operation. He has also participated in the specification for the integration of metering systems within the SmartMetering solution. These activities were developed within the MERGE, GreenIsland and REIVE projects. While working on these tasks, Ricardo Rei proved to be highly autonomous and dedicated, working intensively and managing to reach incredibly important results for the projects he is involved in. Additionally, in April he helped prepare the visit, within the REIVE project, of a representative of the Innovation Fund and of the Secretary of State for Energy and Innovation".

Luís Lima – May

Luís Lima

"Luís Lima is an exceptional and highly competent professional, often praised for being a great person who is always willing to help and collaborate with his co-workers, even when there is a great amount of work. With the ever demanding work at UESP, Luís Lima has always been very proactive, constantly trying to improve the specification of the systems under development and their implementation. With a positive attitude, Luís never believes that something is impossible, and always manages to overcome obstacles, sometimes with a disconcerting serenity... Luís is great working in teams, but is also capable of working individually, for hours on end, whenever necessary. He completely deserves to be selected for the “Limelight” section, mainly for the quantity and quality of his work, which he performs systematically and unquestionably meeting thee deadlines that were established. Over the past few months, these qualities were particularly put to the test, especially in the critical phase of putting the Pronic system into operation".

Joana Ferreira – June

Joana Ferreira

“Having become responsible for the coordination of the Communication Service while Sandra Pinto, manager of the Service, was away on maternity leave, Joana did an excellent work managing tasks and the team over the past few months. Particularly in June, Joana was restless and contributed with innovative ideas and efficient solutions within the preparations of the Portuguese Prime Minister’s visit to INESC Porto (that was eventually postponed). She also did a tremendous job in the organization of the visit of the Secretary of State for Energy and Innovation to INESC Porto, as well as for several initiatives within the Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of INESC in Porto, as was the case of the creation of a graphic image or the exhibition “I Am Science”, accumulating the tasks within the UTEN|Portugal Programme. She was always characterized by a great level of responsibility, dedication, availability and commitment.”
